Overview
Instruments in the collection are used in concerts throughout the year.
Concerts are held in the original Music Room of the house, design by Sir Reginald Blomfield 1903.
During the mid-summer break in the concert programmer, August, the Music Room is displayed as a Composer Museum.

Alim Beisembayev – Chopin’s ‘Own’ Grand Piano by Pleyel & Compagnie, Paris, 1848
An evening in which winner of the 2021 Leeds piano competition, Alim Beisembayev, will perform Chopin’s cycle of 24 Preludes, Op 28, on Chopin’s own Pleyel pianoforte. Champagne and canapés on arrival Glass of wine and canapés in interval. Formal attire.
Alim Beisembayev won First Prize at The Leeds International Piano Competition in September 2021, performing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Andrew Manze. He also took home the medici.tv Audience Prize and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society Prize for contemporary performance.
A current BBC New Generation Artist 2023-25, Alim made his debut at the BBC Proms with the Sinfonia of London (John Wilson) on two days’ notice, bringing him to international attention.
Born in Kazakhstan in 1998, Alim’s early studies were at the Purcell School where he won several awards, including First Prize at the Junior Cliburn International Competition. Alim was taught by Tessa Nicholson at school and continued his studies with her at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2023, Alim completed his Masters’ and Artist Diploma in Performance at the Royal College of Music where he studied with Professor Vanessa Latarche.

Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.
Tickets to recitals and concerts do not include free admittance to the house.
We reserve the right to refuse admission and change the programme and/or instrument without notice.
It may not always be possible to admit latecomers to the Music Room.
Stiletto heels should not be worn.
