SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE CLAVICHORD

Overview

Clavichords from the Iberian peninsula are very rare today; only 20-30 instruments are known. In 18th-century Spain and Portugal they were fairly common and it is likely that Domenico Scarlatti would have been familiar with such instruments.
