The sounds of two virginals – one from the English tradition, one from the Italian, are contrasted in music that alludes to the settings and characters of Shakespeare’s plays.
Silas Wollston performs with period orchestras and brings the fruits of his research to concert programmes as both soloist and musical director.
Gawain Glenton is a specialist cornetto player whose work takes him all over the world with groups such as Il Giardino Armonico, Collegium Vocale and Les Talens Lyriques. He is a member of The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble.
